DealWorm Terms of Service
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of DealWorm ("we", "us"). They cover the DealWorm Chrome extension, its credits service and this website. By installing DealWorm, signing in or buying credit, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use DealWorm.
1. What DealWorm does
DealWorm estimates what an item shown on a web page is worth. It identifies the item from the page's photos and details with Claude, Anthropic's AI, and prices it from recent sold listings and current listings.
Estimates come from public sales, current listings and AI, and AI can be wrong. An estimate isn't an appraisal, an authentication or financial advice. Check the evidence DealWorm shows before you buy, sell or make an offer. You're responsible for the decisions you make with it.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 to use DealWorm. To buy credit you must be old enough to make a binding contract where you live, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
3. Your account
Credits need an account, which you open by signing in with Google. Keep your Google account secure: anyone who can sign in as you can use your credit. You can delete your account at any time in DealWorm's Settings.
You don't need an account to use DealWorm with your own Anthropic API key.
4. Credits and prices
- Credit is sold in packs of $5, $10 or $20 (US dollars), paid by card through Stripe. It's added to your account when Stripe confirms the payment.
- Each AI request is charged at twice what Anthropic charges us for it, worked out from what the request actually used: the text and images Claude read, what it wrote, and its web searches. The extension shows what each check cost. Reopening a saved result is free.
- Before a request runs, we set aside an estimate of its price from your balance. When it finishes, you're charged its actual price.
- Requests that fail with an error aren't charged. A request that's still running when our time limit runs out (a little over 6 minutes) is charged the amount set aside for it, because Anthropic charges us for that work.
- Once your account has bought credit, a request that costs more than your remaining balance is still charged in full, and your balance goes below zero. Your next purchase pays off that amount first, and no new checks run until it's paid.
- New accounts get a one-time free trial of $0.25 of credit, once per email address. The free trial works with Claude Haiku only. Buying any pack unlocks every model.
- Credit doesn't expire. It has no cash value, can't be moved to another account, and can be refunded only as section 5 describes.
- We may change prices. A change applies only to requests made after it, and this website shows the current prices.
- You're responsible for any taxes on your purchases, except taxes we're required to collect.
5. Refunds
- If you're not satisfied, email us within 30 days of a purchase and we'll refund the unused part of that purchase to your card. Credit already used for checks isn't refundable.
- If we charged you by mistake, we'll correct it.
- Deleting your account gives up any remaining credit, so ask for a refund before you delete it.
- Nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
6. Using your own API key
If you use your own Anthropic API key, your requests go straight from your browser to Anthropic, Anthropic bills you, and Anthropic's terms apply to that use. We don't charge you anything.
7. Acceptable use
Don't:
- use DealWorm in a way that breaks the law or anyone's rights;
- send content that breaks Anthropic's Usage Policy (https://www.anthropic.com/legal/aup), since checks paid with credits go to Anthropic through our account;
- use the credits service for anything except DealWorm checks, or try to get around its limits, prices or free-trial rules, for example by opening extra accounts to get more free trials;
- probe, overload or disrupt our server, or try to reach other people's accounts or data;
- resell or share access to your account.
We may limit how many requests run at once or per minute, to keep the service working for everyone.
8. Other services
DealWorm relies on Anthropic, eBay, Google, Stripe, Supabase and Vercel. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what you send them. We're not responsible for their services, or for the websites, listings and search results DealWorm shows you.
9. Privacy
The Privacy Policy (https://dealworm.xyz/privacy) explains what DealWorm collects and how it's used.
10. Suspending or closing accounts
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used for fraud or abuse.
- If we close an account that didn't break these terms, we'll refund its unused purchased credit.
- If we stop offering credits, we'll say so in the extension at least 30 days before, and refund unused purchased credit to anyone who asks.
11. No warranty
DealWorm is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that estimates are accurate or that the service will always be available or free of errors.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost deals. Our total liability for any claim about DealWorm is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $20.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date, and we'll tell you about important changes in the extension before they apply. If you keep using DealWorm after a change, the new terms apply. If you don't agree with a change, stop using DealWorm and ask us to refund your unused purchased credit.
